First project in D5

Here is my first project in D5, after using Lumion for 12 Years… Don’t laugh - I have a lot to learn… but I’m really enjoying using D5!!!
I built the house and landscape in SketchUp.
I love the water effects and all the plants!
Hope to get some help on making these look more realistic.
Thanks,
Chuck

That is a great start ( the animations is lovely and worth watching) yes all the plants and water effects really add to the realism.
For improvements, try to use scatter or use the brush tools to add additional variance of grasses to make the lawns come to life a bit more. Maybe add a a dash or increase levels of your fog settings. D5 does all the heavy lifting, realism comes with just using it more and exploring all the tools at hand. Lovely project, by the way.

All the best

I also started with Lumion untill they went to a rent licence policy which was way too expensive for me…
There is one thing that could be improved in your 2 first images.
Ther is way too much asphalt in the forground without variation. I would suggest that you shift your camera up top to see more sky and tree and less road.
Using decals is always a good solution to add variations on such surface.
You could also use some puddles to get some reflections on the road to break its monotony.
Anyway you are on the right track!
