Export seems to ignore any openings

Hi,

Regarding this topic, I encountered a technical issue while using group export (preserving layer structure). The export seems to ignore any openings, such as windows and doors. After several tests, I found that the only way to export and import openings from Archicad is to select them separately. Then they appear correctly in D5.

Is this a known issue? This is my first time trying to create a phasing animation, and all my software is up to date. I’m using Archicad 29.

To better understand the issue:

  • When you say “openings are ignored”, do you mean that the wall appears solid in D5 (with no hole)?
  • Could you please install the latest LiveSync plugin for Archicad and test again? You can download it here.

Thank you for your response.

By saying that openings are ignored, I mean that there is a hole in the wall where a window should be, but without the actual window model.

You can see this in the provided images: in Archicad I placed windows and doors, but after importing to D5 there is only an opening in the wall, with no actual window objects.

I reinstalled the LiveSync plugin, but this did not improve the issue.
