D5 Live Sync (Cinema 4D) issue

Hi,

I’m having a critical issue with D5 Live Sync (Cinema 4D), and it completely breaks my workflow.

Everything was working perfectly a few days ago, but now:

  • Deleting objects in Cinema 4D does NOT remove them in D5
  • Objects remain as “ghosts” in the scene
  • I sometimes see “D5 Deconstruct” on objects
  • Live Sync seems partially broken (transform works, but delete does not)

I have already tried EVERYTHING:

  • Clean reinstall of D5 Render
  • Clean reinstall of D5 Sync plugin
  • Deleted all AppData (Local + Roaming)
  • Reset D5 Launcher
  • Tested on both Cinema 4D 2023 and 2024
  • Created brand new scenes in both D5 and C4D
  • Verified objects are truly deleted (not hidden, not in generators)

The issue persists even on a simple test:
1 cube → sync → delete → resync → cube still present in D5

This makes Live Sync unusable.

Is this a known issue with the latest version?
Is there a fix or recommended stable version?

This is blocking production work, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi @dcayrol

Sorry you’re experiencing this issue. To help us narrow this down, could you please confirm a few details:

• Are the objects you’re deleting coming from generators like extrudes, cloners, or splines?
• When the ghost object appears, does it still show in the D5 object list or only in the viewport?

If possible, a short screen recording showing where the issue occurs would also help us investigate more quickly.
