I don’t think this topic has been covered in this forum (at least by the quick search I did), but I just wanted to bring up the fact that a curved strip light would do wonders. I know other rendering software have this ability and it’s one of the things D5 is missing.
Right now we can improvise with making a 3D object and giving it the emissive material property, however this does not provide the same level of intensity control that we have for a standard strip light.
If D5 could somehow integrate the path tool with the strip light feature, I think this would provide greater control and would be a huge rendering feature addition.
I definitely think this would be handy . If there was a curved light strip that we could adjust just like the rectangular light, and then give the option to how much you want to radius it .
So far no, D5 has recommended to essentially model in place (for revit) a curved object, then give the object an emissive material to mimic a light. No curved lights yet.
I think this is essential , I was jumping in the form just to request this as i moved my current project to vray so i can use the mesh light as the emissive material doesn’t work good enough especially in the light wash effect and directionality , an editable spline with adjustable control points is essential for so much projects that i suffer with stacking rectangular lights to make a curved segmentation and still it looks off if you focus on the effect so please this feature is so essential.
