It would be very beneficial to be able to apply a section cube to the cesium map so we can section out existing site or building that we are modifying or replacing.
if this will made as an tool. please make it with mulple corner or possible with mutiple section boxes.
not all building are a square some are round or have 8+ corners
please release it soon
Hello,
I’m a quite new D5 user and today I discovered the Cesium maps, very usefol tool.
I was wondering if there is a way to cut-out part of the 3D map generated by the tool (I’m currently using the Google Photorealistic 3D tiles map) so that I can integrate my project into the real world map, and I came throu this post.
Has anyone found a way to achieve this result?
Thank you in advance!
Yes,
change your cesium map to a different layer
add a section cube to same layer
set section cube to “current layer”
change cut to “outside”
turn on “affected by light”
then scale to your desire.
Hello dboyd, thank you so much for the help, it worked !
It gets a little bit tricky when the area you want to cut-out is not squared, but with a littel bit of effort and some more cut-cubes you can achieve the objective.
Maybe in the future versions there will be some more flexible tools for that !
Thank you again,
Daniele
