Autosmooth or linear transituion mode

good morning,
in my clips I use linear path 99% of the time, rather than auto smooth.
My problem is that, by default, each new key frame is reset to auto mooth and I have to change auto smooth to linear each time I correct a key frame.
Isn’t there a way of correcting this?
make linear the default?

Thanks for reaching out.

Compared to linear, auto smooth is made to ease in and out of rotation speed and shift speed. It is a change since 2.7 to achieve a smoother effect.

The current default is Auto Smooth, if users dislike the feeling of easing in and out, they can adjust it to Linear manually. We will record your requirements as well. Thanks for your understanding.
