With version 3.0.0.0676 of D5 Render, almost everything has been working fine for over three weeks now.
With AMD driver version 2.5.10, and even better, with the latest AMD version 26.1.1 from January 2026, the program runs flawlessly.
Knock on wood, and I mean my head. A saying in Argentina that means, “May everything continue to go this well.”
I don’t know how this miracle happened, since I reported that the same version of the program and drivers was failing.
The only thing I changed was a video card function.
I disabled the use of AMD SmartAccess Memory.
From then on, it started working fine.
I thought that was the problem, and after a few days of everything working properly, I tried re-enabling that function to make sure that was the issue.
The strange thing is that the program continued to work fine. This continued for several days until the new version 26.1.1 was released, and I installed it to see if it would work.
Everything is still working to this day.
And nothing changed apart from that back-and-forth between enabling and disabling the AMD SmartAccess Memory function.
Well, thanks to the D5 Render programming team.
Knock on wood again.
So far today I can work without problems and with the latest driver version.
On the other hand, nothing is perfect, but surely they’ll be able to fix it.
I’m still having trouble using triplanar mapping on material textures. It only shows a flat color.
Materials with textures that aren’t in the Autodesk folder in Revit don’t appear in the program; they only show a flat color.
I’m hoping for another miracle…
But thanks again.
