Hi I am a spanish architect, very happy user of the pro subscription of D5. In my D5 videos I build the model of my projects with sketchup, and I include the surroundings thanks to a combination of renderdoc, blender and sketchup. Thanks to this technique, which I learnt in youtube, I can import a pretty decent 3d mesh of the surroundings of my project sites into D5 (visit www.javiergamez.com if you are curious).
The problem I have is that this 3d mesh may have 200 or more pieces, and when imported into D5, they all come with specular 0.3 and roughness 0.4.
These settings, specially the specular, are not good for this 3d mesh, as they provoque undesirable shines depending on the orientation of the sun.
Consequently, I have to press “I”, hit all the squares of the 3d mesh one by one and change specular from 0.3 to 0 and roughness from 0.4 to 1. One by one. It takes me hours of boring repetitive work.
It would be great if, for example, by pressing ctrl, or alt, or shift, we could select multiple objects and then alter their specular (also rougfhness, if possible) jointly.
Actually, you can already change parameters (intensity, temperature) of multiple lights.
Well , something similar for the specular (also roughness, if possible) would be fantastic for me.
Thank you very much for such a wonderful program.
Best regards
Javier Gámez. Architect. Spain.
