A brief feedback

I’m absolutely stoked about the UV Map randomizer, AI-generated material textures, and AI atmosphere match! D5 Render is really setting the bar high with these groundbreaking features, and I can’t wait to put them to the test. Your commitment to innovation is truly commendable.

However, I’d like to share some feedback and suggestions that I believe are vital for enhancing the overall user experience:

Video Clips Disappearing in Render Mode: One of the most pressing issues I’ve encountered is related to video clips in render mode. When I attempt to cancel render mode to make material or object changes, any adjustments I’ve made to the video clips are inexplicably erased. While I’ve attempted to save the file before exiting render mode or changing clip names, this solution is inconsistent. This unpredictable behavior has severely disrupted our workflow and, in some instances, rendered it impossible to make necessary changes to the project without losing all previously crafted video clips.

Synchronization and Path Issues: Navigating the inner system of D5, particularly in terms of synchronization, refreshing, path modifications, and file name changes, has been a source of immense frustration. The lack of a comprehensive and detailed manual that clarifies these processes has had a detrimental impact on our projects. Regrettably, we’ve lost over 20-30 hours of work due to unexplained incidents that caused our model to vanish or our materials to reset. This has been a deeply frustrating experience.

Here are a few feature suggestions inspired by Lumion, which I believe would be fantastic additions to D5 Render:

*Enable the feature to save sets of materials.
*Implement the capability to copy each effect independently.
*ntroduce ocean rendering.
*Add terrain modeling functionality.
*Provide path and brush tools for all assets, including imported ones.
*Incorporate a feature for randomizing placements, rotations, and scaling of selected objects.
*Enhance the organization of saved objects or groups in the local library by displaying a thumbnail of the object or group instead of a screenshot of the entire project.
*Introduce a ‘Downloaded’ window within the asset browser for convenient access to downloaded assets.
*Simplify the process of adding items to favorites, currently requiring multiple clicks.
*Expand the selection of default High Dynamic Range Images (HDRIs), potentially adding an ‘HDRI’ tab in the asset browser.
*Enhance the interactivity of the brush tool, allowing users to modify tree density and size, or exclude specific tree types without having to delete and start over.
*Provide an option to convert scatter-placed trees (maximum radius) into individually placed trees to be able to modify them individually.
*Implement the ability to place objects precisely at specified nodes (Place at Nodes in Lumion).
*Improve the customization options for grass materials, including factors like gravity, curl, and cutting.
*Redesign the gizmo to facilitate object selection, possibly by using a rectangular shape for the plane selection instead of a circle, similar to 3ds Max, as it is hard now to pick the objects on the XY plane, for example.
*Enable users to change the origin or pivot point of a selected group.
*Implement the ability to reset a material to its original state without the need to change its name in the 3D program.
*Address flickering issues, potentially through a ‘Flicker Control’ feature.

It would be fantastic if you could provide information on whether D5 intends to implement these features. This clarity will help us better assess the software’s suitability for our needs.

I want to reiterate that resolving the video clip disappearance issue is my primary concern, as it’s causing significant setbacks in our projects.
