3ds max to D5 camera match

I’ve seen all the posts requesting camera match as well as the one that is a work around where your render from D5 includes a sky mask which you use in Pshop to slice out the background (sky) image and insert your background image. This gives you camera match. So I experimented with a Max file vs D5. Cam match is achieveable but in D5, you can’t adjust the color of your sun shadows like you can in Max. (At least i found no means to do this) and in D5, some materials lose their softness. Complex hair in Max renders differently in D5. This CC5 generated character has very complicated hair. Compare the two attached

images. I didn’t bother to cam match the D5 image. This is the straight out of the box render.
