D5 Render – Revit Model Keeps Moving After Sync (Even When Locked)

Hi everyone,

I’m having a recurring issue when working with a Revit model in D5 Render. Every time I sync the model, its position shifts in D5—even though I’ve locked the model. I’ve tried toggling the “Use Survey Point” option under the D5 settings on and off, but unfortunately, that hasn’t solved the problem.

Has anyone else run into this? Any tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @mtnarch

Can you show us a screenshot of the before and after?

Here is the before

Hi @mtnarch

Sorry for the late response. Basically, may I know which of these models are purely from Revit?

  • The sync process usually copies the exact location of the model as it was projected in Revit, so if some of these builds are directly imported to D5, then it might be best to have them adjust to the original positioning of the Revit Model.

Adjusting the model’s position each time you sync is a good solution, though I never encountered this issue with Lumion

Hi @mtnarch

Can you send us your Revit File and D5 file so we can test it on our end?

  • Please send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled Clov-Forum Revit Model Keeps Moving After Sync (Even When Locked)
  • Additionally, please include a video-recording of the process on your end so I can try replicating it using your file.

Please let me know if you have sent it. Thank you.
